MOLYKOTE 7400 Anti-Friction Coating

Overview

MOLYKOTE 7400 Anti-Friction Coating is an air-cured, water-based anti-friction coating filled with molybdenum disulfide and graphite, providing maintenance-free, permanent lubrication of highly stressed friction combinations with low speeds or oscillating operation where oil or grease cannot be used or presents an unacceptable risk of soiling. It is free from flammable solvents, offers high load-carrying capacity and a low coefficient of friction, and contains no intentional PTFE or PFAS. It is used as a sliding coating for metal-to-metal combinations with slow to moderately fast movements and high loads, suiting gear running-in, sliding bearings, sliding guides, transmission shaft coating, car seat adjustment mechanisms and cold steel working.
