XIAMETER MEM-0347G Emulsion

Overview

XIAMETER MEM-0347G Emulsion is a non-ionic, 60% active emulsion of silanol-terminated polydimethylsiloxane (PDMS). It is useful as a mold release in high-temperature applications such as plastics, core shell, metals and asphalt, and Dow also lists antifoam agent as a use. It is a concentrated emulsion of hydroxyl-endblocked PDMS fluid that is highly surface active, providing good release, lubricity, water repellency and gloss. The reactive chemical sites on the PDMS can be reacted with various substrates, and crosslinking agents and catalysts can be used to achieve a more resinous coating. It contains a rust inhibitor to resist rusting in the concentrated form and is free of alkyl phenol ethoxylates (APEO) and BTX. Typical properties from Dow: water-based system, pH 6 to 8.5, specific gravity 0.99 at 25°C, viscosity below 1,000 centistokes, non-ionic surfactant type.
