XIAMETER MEM-0008 Emulsion
Overview
XIAMETER MEM-0008 Emulsion is a non-ionic, 35% active emulsion based on medium-viscosity polydimethylsiloxane. It is recommended as an ingredient in vinyl and tire dressings and as a release agent for resin-bonded shell molds and cores in metal casting, fabricating plastic and rubber parts and components, and rigid polyurethane foam release. Dow lists good emulsion stability, water dilutability, effectiveness at low concentrations and no solvent fumes, with an oil phase that withstands molding temperatures. Typical properties from Dow: milky white, water-based emulsion, pH 8, specific gravity 0.99 at 25°C, shelf life 540 days.
