Overview

3M Scotch Vinyl Color Coding Electrical Tape 35 is a premium-grade vinyl electrical tape designed to provide durable insulation and fade-resistant color-coding in demanding electrical applications. It helps provide primary insulation for splices up to 600 V, is engineered to resist abrasion, moisture and varying weather conditions, and may be used as an overwrap with rubber or mastic tapes for added protection on LV/MV/HV joints and splices. It is offered in ten fade-resistant colors, including fully UV-resistant white, designed to maintain color integrity under UV and heat exposure, which makes it suited to wire and phase identification, marking motor leads and safety zones and piping-system organization. It performs within temperatures from 14°F to 221°F (-10°C to 105°C). The 3M data sheet describes it as a nominal 7 mil (0.178 mm) tape with a UL 510 voltage rating of 600 V.
