3M Scotch Rubber Splicing Tape 23

Overview

3M Scotch Rubber Splicing Tape 23 is a 30 mil, premium grade, highly conformable rubber splicing tape. It is self-fusing and has a special polyester liner that does not stick to the tape on unwind, keeping it clean during application. The self-amalgamating ethylene propylene rubber based tape can be stretched for void-free, moisture-resistant insulation, is non-vulcanising and shelf-stable with excellent electrical properties, and is used for low or high voltage applications and joints up to 69 kV, and as primary insulation of cable splices and terminations. It is temperature rated for continuous adhesion to 194°F (90°C), with an emergency overload rating of 266°F (130°C). The page lists ASTM D-4388 Types 1, 2 and 3 and RoHS 2011/65/EU.
