Overview
XIAMETER AFE-1010 Antifoam Emulsion is a 10% active, water-dilutable silicone emulsion designed to control foam in water-based industrial processes such as textiles, water treatment, chemical scrubbing, agrochemicals and boiler systems. Dow lists uses in distillation, boiler systems, paper and printing solutions, textiles, chemical scrubbing and agrochemicals, and the benefits of being water dilutable and easily dispersed. Typical properties from Dow: white non-ionic emulsion, 10% active, pH 4, dynamic viscosity 150 centipoise, specific gravity 1, shelf life 1,080 days; knockdown high to medium, persistency low, effective at high temperature and low pH.
