Overview

XIAMETER AFE-0010 Antifoam Emulsion Food Grade is a 10% active, food-grade silicone emulsion designed to control foam in aqueous systems. Dow recommends it for food fermentation processes, high sugar-content systems, waste water treatment, and vegetable processing and beverages. It is ready to use and can also be diluted with water. Dow lists dietary claims of Halal and Kosher; food additive compliance with 21 CFR 173.340, DIV 16:Table VIII:D.1 and Regulation (EU) 1129/2011 amending Annex II to Regulation (EC) 1333/2008; and regulatory status of EU Food Contact, Food Additive, German Food Contact, US Food Contact and USA EPA. Typical properties from Dow: non-ionic emulsion, 10% active, pH 3.5, viscosity 500 mPa·s, shelf life 1,080 days; knockdown high to medium, persistency low.
