WEICON Flex+bond

Overview

WEICON Flex+bond is a strong, permanently elastic, temperature-resistant (-40°C to +90°C), weather-resistant, UV-resistant, paintable (wet-on-wet), sandable adhesive and sealant that resists ageing and salt water. It is a one-component, moisture-curing MS-polymer, free of silicone, isocyanate, halogens and solvents. It carries an ISEGA certificate and can be used as an adhesive in food technology. It bonds nearly all materials such as metal, wood, plastic, glass and ceramics, and is used in many areas of industry. According to the data sheet it is pasty, has a density of 1.44 g/cm3, a Shore A hardness of 42±5, a tensile strength of 3.3 N/mm2 and an elongation at break of 650% (tensile), cures at +5°C to +40°C and 30% to 95% relative humidity, and has a skin-formation time of 25 minutes for the coloured grades and 10 minutes for the transparent grade. Surfaces must be clean and grease-free; the data sheet recommends WEICON Surface Cleaner, and a primer for special materials. It is supplied in a mini tube-shaped bag dispensed with a tube key, in 85 ml, in white, grey, black or transparent, with a minimum shelf life of 18 months.
