Overview

3M Hot Melt Adhesive 3764 is a clear, versatile thermoplastic adhesive specifically designed for bonding a wide variety of plastics, including challenging low surface energy substrates like polyethylene and polypropylene. This fast-setting adhesive maintains flexibility at low temperatures while providing reliable adhesion strength, and 3M lists good shear and peel strength, excellent impact resistance and a clear formulation that gives invisible bond lines. It bonds acrylic, ceramic, foam, glass, polycarbonate, polyethylene, polypropylene and PVC, is suited to small joint assembly, large surface lamination and mounting applications, and is flexible enough for adjustments and positioning. It is dispensed with the 3M Hot Melt Applicator AE II, PG II or TC, and is available in various stick sizes for different hot melt applicator systems. As a 100% solids thermoplastic resin it re-melts after bonding if exposed to high enough temperature, and quickly fills gaps, cools and reaches bond strength within seconds without clamping or drying time.
