Overview
Permatex Surface Prep Activator for Anaerobic speeds the cure of Permatex threadlockers, thread sealants, retaining compounds and anaerobic gasket makers by 50% and increases threadlocker strength. It is recommended for use in cold weather and is also a general-purpose solvent for cleaning and preparing parts and surfaces. Permatex lists its suggested application as all anaerobic applications. It is supplied as a 6 oz aerosol can (4.5 oz / 127 g net weight, Permatex item 24163); the can label carries an extremely-flammable warning.
