WEICONLOCK AN 301-65 Pipe and Flange Sealing

Overview

WEICONLOCK AN 301-65 is a white, high-viscosity, medium-strength anaerobic sealant containing PTFE for pipe and flange sealing. It is classified as non-hazardous, carries a drinking-water approval and allows disassembly with normal tools. According to the technical data sheet it is used for thread connections up to M80 / R 3 inch, bridges gaps up to 0.5 mm and has a viscosity of 180,000-300,000 mPa·s, a breakaway torque of 4-8 Nm, a prevail torque of 1-3 Nm and a shear strength (DIN 54452) of 2-6 N/mm2. Handling strength is reached after 10-20 minutes and final strength after 24 hours; temperature resistance is -60°C to +150°C and the minimum shelf life is 24 months at room temperature. Parts should be degreased and cleaned (for example with WEICON Surface Cleaner), although it can also be used on uncleaned parts. It is applied straight from the pen with the dosing tip: apply it to the thread in circles and tighten to the desired alignment; for flange sealing apply a continuous bead to one flange face, then assemble quickly and tighten. Do not return used material to the bottle, since metal contact makes it cure. Available in 50 ml and 200 ml.
