WEICON Easy-Mix PU-90 Polyurethane Adhesive

Overview

WEICON Easy-Mix PU-90 is a high-strength, extremely fast-curing, highly viscous polyurethane structural adhesive with a pot life of about 90 seconds. It can be sanded and painted over after about 30 minutes, is weather-resistant, chemical-resistant and temperature-resistant from -55°C to +125°C. It bonds composites, plastics, polyurethane, epoxies, polyester, metals, wood and ceramics to themselves and to each other with high tensile, shear and peel strength, and is used in plastic technology, machine construction, model and mould making, metal construction, ship and boat building, carriage and vehicle construction and trade show construction. According to the data sheet it is black, mixed 1:1 by weight (density of the mixture 1.30-1.35 g/cm3), with handling strength after about 5 minutes (35% strength), working strength after about 10 minutes (50%) and final strength after 12 hours, at 20°C. After curing: tensile strength 21 N/mm2, elongation at break 35%, Shore D hardness 66 and lap shear strength 19 N/mm2 on sandblasted steel, 17 N/mm2 on sandblasted stainless steel and 13 N/mm2 on sandblasted aluminium; dielectric strength above 22 kV/mm. Surfaces must be clean and dry (for example cleaned with WEICON Surface Cleaner). It is supplied as a 50 ml double cartridge with a Quadro Mixing Nozzle A, gloves and primer, and has a minimum shelf life of 18 months.
