Permatex High Performance Thread Sealant

Overview

Permatex High Performance Thread Sealant is formulated specifically for metal tapered pipe thread fittings. It replaces Teflon tape and pipe dopes and cures rapidly to withstand up to 10,000 PSI, prevents galling and protects mated threaded areas from rust and corrosion. It contains PTFE, prevents leakage from vibration, temperature cycling and extreme pressures, and allows parts to be repositioned after application. Permatex lists suggested applications including stainless steel fittings, head bolts into through holes, oil pressure sending units and sensors, oil and coolant lines, intake manifold switches, rear axle fill plugs and fuel fittings. It is supplied in a 50 ml tube (Permatex item 56521).
