Overview

3M Scotch-Weld Low Odor Acrylic Adhesive DP810 is a toughened, two-part, room-temperature curing acrylic adhesive specially formulated to bond oily metals, plastics and other surfaces with minimal surface preparation. With lower odor and non-flammable properties it contributes to a safer work environment than typical acrylic adhesives. It provides high shear and peel strength and good impact resistance, and bonds metals, composites and many plastics including nylon. The mix ratio is 1:1 with a 10-minute work life to allow time to adjust fit, handling strength in about 20 minutes, and full cure in 8-24 hours at 72°F (22°C); excess adhesive exposed to air around the bond line may remain tacky for up to 48 hours. It cures to a tan or black colour and is approved under UL 746C for polymeric materials used in electrical equipment. Typical uses include sporting goods (metal to metal, metal to plastic) and appliance manufacturing (metal to metal, metal to glass), and it suits impact, shock absorption and noise-vibration-harshness control. Duo-Pak sizes work with 3M dispensing equipment.
