Overview

3M Scotch-Weld Structural Plastic Adhesive DP8010 is a two-part acrylic adhesive formulated to bond many low surface energy (LSE) plastics, including many grades of polypropylene, polyethylene and thermoplastic elastomers, as well as metals, ceramics, wood and most other plastics. It has a medium viscosity for controlled dispensing, is formulated with 8 mil spacer beads for bond line spacing, and is slightly flexible when cured. It creates structural bonds without special surface treatments such as chemical etching, plasma, flame or corona treatment, or priming. Mixed at a 10:1 ratio, it offers 8 minutes of working time, reaches handling strength in about 1 hour and fully cures in 24 hours at 73°F (23°C), and is solvent-free and resistant to humidity, chemicals and water.
