WEICON Rust Converter

Overview

WEICON Rust Converter neutralises rust on rusty cast iron and steel surfaces and protects against corrosion, indoors and outdoors. Based on epoxy resin, it forms a metallic-organic iron complex with the rust layer, stabilised by the epoxy resin, which protects the metal from external influences. The black layer that forms serves as a base coat and as the foundation for the subsequent permanent coating. The spray is anti-corrosive, has excellent capillary action and high opacity, is temperature-resistant up to +80°C (short-term under 15 minutes up to +160°C), and offers good weather and UV resistance and excellent solvent resistance. It is free of heavy metals and mineral acid. It can be applied to all rusty areas, for example on machines or in plants, on agricultural equipment and on motor vehicles, and can also be used as a protective, rust-preventive layer.
