Overview
Loctite LB 8040 (Freeze & Release) is a special mineral oil formulation for freeing rusted, corroded and seized parts. A stream of lubricant at -43°C instantly cools the parts and causes microscopic cracks in the rust layer, letting the lubricating ingredients wick into the rust by capillary action. Released parts stay lubricated and protected from corrosion. Not for use in pure oxygen or oxygen-rich systems.
