Overview

Klüber BARRIERTA L 55/2 is part of the BARRIERTA L55 series, Europe's oldest high-quality brand of high-temperature lubricants based on perfluorinated polyether oil (PFPE). It offers excellent resistance to high temperature and aggressive media while remaining compatible with plastics and elastomers. BARRIERTA L55/2 (NLGI 2) is the grade most frequently used for initial and long-term lubrication of rolling and plain bearings subject to high temperatures up to 260°C, including conveyors, kiln cart wheel bearings, calender bearings, fan bearings and chain bearings in film stretching stenters. It also offers good adhesion and a sealing effect suitable for valves, fittings, pneumatic components, level gauges and seals exposed to concentrated acids, lyes, organic solvents or gases. Meets FDA 21 CFR 178.3570 and is registered as NSF-H1, so it can also be used on friction points where occasional food contact cannot be ruled out, such as automatic baking ovens, cooking/frying lines and conveyor systems.
