Overview
Loctite SI 5970 is a black, thixotropic room-temperature-vulcanising silicone designed for gasketing. It has excellent resistance to automotive engine oils and can withstand low-pressure tests carried out on the line before it starts to cure. Typical uses are stamped sheet metal covers such as timing covers and oil sumps that need oil resistance and high joint movement. Becomes tack free in 25 minutes at 23°C / 50% RH.
